Background
CCM was established in 1979 as a non-profit self-help
organization by Cambodians who had always wanted to serve their
fellow people. The organization's target population is the 15,000
Cambodian refugees in the greater Boston and north shore areas of
Massachusetts, most of whom were settled in the late 1970s and 1980s.
Mission/Goals
Assist the Cambodian people with integration
into American society by promoting self-sufficiency, well-being
and cross-cultural understanding.
Services
ESL classes, citizenship assistance, career development/job
seeking skills training, job placement and other services that promote
self-sufficiency. In addition, CCM works to promote Cambodian culture
through Khmer literacy classes and cultural events.
